Demonoid (my favorite BitTorrent site) has been down for several days now, apparently because the Canadian Recording Industry Association has been threatening them. Since the site recently moved to a Canadian host, this was a problem.

Some places are reporting that the site was up for a while, but was blocking Canadian users.

The Demonoid website currently says “The latest changes to the site are giving us some problems – We’ll be back soon” which is encouraging!

I started using Sumo Torrent when Demonoid disappeared, and it is alright, but I would rather use a nice private site like Demonoid, though, so I hope to see both back online soon.
